About this necklace
Lilac sapphire occupies a rare and coveted space in the color spectrum — softer than violet, warmer than lavender, with a translucency that makes each stone glow from within rather than simply reflect light. This necklace gives that color its full due. Twenty-nine lilac sapphires (20.82 ct total) run the length of a rivière-style necklace in mixed organic shapes — ovals, pears, and rounds — each one individually bezel-set in black rhodium. The dark settings deepen the contrast, making the lilac appear more saturated and luminous against the 14k yellow gold chain.
The stones graduate subtly toward the center, drawing the eye inward in the manner of the great Victorian rivières that inspired this design. No two stones are identical in shape, giving the necklace an organic, hand-selected quality that sets it apart from anything cut to match. At 20.82 carats across 29 stones, the weight of color is extraordinary.
The 14k yellow gold cable chain adjusts from 16" to 18" via lobster clasp with extender, sitting beautifully at the collarbone or just below. A necklace for someone who knows that the rarest colors are the ones that can’t be described in a single word.
