One of a Kind Earrings, Matched by Hand

Nature never grows two stones alike. A matched pair of natural gemstones exists exactly once, and that matching is the craft. We choose stones most jewelers never carry, coral, opal, chrysoprase, lapis lazuli, rhodochrosite, rutilated quartz, and pair them in 18K gold with diamond accents. Many are hand-carved into plum blossom, peony, and starflower forms. Drop earrings, gem studs, carved florals. Two stones either sing together or they stay on the bench, which is why the collection remains small.

One of a Kind Earrings: Frequently Asked Questions

What makes these earrings one of a kind?

No two natural gemstones are identical, so a matched pair can only ever exist once. When one sells, that exact pairing is gone. That is the literal meaning of one of a kind, and it is the standard this collection is built on.

What gemstones do you use in these earrings?

Rarer ones, on purpose: coral, opal, pearl, chrysoprase, lapis lazuli, rutilated quartz, azurite, rhodochrosite, turquoise, pink tourmaline, morganite, and agate, mostly set in 18K yellow gold with diamond accents. The range shifts as new stones come in.

Are they really matched pairs?

Yes, and matching them is the hard part. Because nature never repeats a stone, we search for two that agree on color, pattern, and cut. A pair takes time to build, and it shows.

Can I wear these gemstone earrings every day?

Many are made for it, and earrings are the kindest home for a softer stone, ears take far fewer knocks than hands. Chrysoprase, agate, and rutilated quartz run near 7 on the Mohs hardness scale and wear easily. Coral sits at 3 to 4, rhodochrosite near 4, opal at 5 to 6.5, and turquoise and lapis at 5 to 6, so those ask for a little ceremony: earrings go on after perfume and hairspray, come off with a wipe from a soft cloth, and never meet an ultrasonic cleaner. We will tell you exactly where your stone sits before you buy.
