Bangles and Cuffs in 14K Gold

A bangle is jewelry as architecture, a shape that holds its own line with or without a stone. Ours start with the gold: fluted, tapered, beaded, hinged, then decide where the color goes. Wave cuffs traced in peridot, tanzanite, rubellite and Swiss blue topaz. Fluted hinged bangles with bezel-set baguette emeralds or baguette diamonds. Sleeping Beauty turquoise beside white diamonds. A serpent in black enamel with graduated diamonds. A bypass of emerald-cut and round diamonds. Seven mixed-shape emeralds in a row, seven pink tourmalines in another. And a flexible woven cuff of cornflower blue sapphires, made in Italy. Worn alone, a bangle is the whole sentence. Stacked, it is the paragraph.

Gold Bangles & Cuffs: Frequently Asked Questions

What is the difference between a bangle and a cuff?

A bangle is a closed circle, either slipped over the hand or hinged to open; a cuff is open at the back and slides on from the side. Ours include both, hinged bangles with bezel-set stones and sculpted cuffs that wrap the wrist without a clasp.

How do I know my bangle size?

By the inner diameter, which each listing gives in inches. Bring your thumb to your palm and measure the widest part of your hand; a hinged bangle only needs the wrist measurement. Message us with either number and we will tell you which pieces fit.

Can bangles be worn every day?

Yes, with the stone in mind. The diamond and sapphire bangles take daily life easily. Emerald, peridot and tanzanite bangles prefer to skip the gym and the garden, and the turquoise and enamel pieces come off for anything rough. Solid 14K gold holds its shape and polish for years; a soft cloth brings the shine back.

Can I stack bangles?

That is half the pleasure. A plain fluted gold bangle beside one with a line of stones, or two wave cuffs in different colors, gives the wrist rhythm without noise. Odd numbers sit best, and one bangle with real weight anchors the rest.

How do I care for a gemstone bangle?

Warm water, mild soap, and a soft cloth cover it. Sapphire at 9 on the Mohs hardness scale and diamond at 10 need nothing more. Emerald at 7.5 to 8, peridot and tanzanite near 7, turquoise at 5 to 6 want the bangle off before workouts and pools, and none of the colored stones belong in an ultrasonic cleaner. Hinged bangles should be closed gently, never snapped.
